Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons enters into force.

The idea of this Treaty was first brought to the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva. Nevertheless, a group of countries which noticed that no result could be possible in the Conference moved it to the UN General Assembly which consequently was approved there. Nevertheless, how this Treaty -to which Nuclear Powers are not party- could effect the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and positions of these Powers, including possible developments attracts curiosity. In this context, it is thought that possible effects and results that it may cause with regard to international customary law have also importance.
